چکیده

Underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC) systems have been widely studied to achieve high-speed communications. To investigate and design UOWC systems, a mathematical model characterize the accurate performance of is important. However, previous models limitations, which mainly focused on line-of-sight (LOS) link, only considered vertical incident background light or filters with constant transmittance for simplicity. overcome these we establish an system model, incorporating previously overlooked impact signal sun lights angles including both LOS non-line-of-sight (NLOS) channels. Our proposed validated by Monte Carlo (MC) simulations. Results show that our can capture changes received powers various transmitter receiver alignments orientations in NLOS channels, typically affect signal-noise-ratio (SNR) bit-error-rate (BER) systems. Furthermore, significant performance, be used optimize PD rotation angle improve SNR performance. Therefore, more channel established this paper provides fundamental framework future optimization.

Non-line-of-sight Error Mitigation in Wireless Communication Systems

The need for determining the position of a mobile station (MS) is increasing rapidly in wireless communications systems. When there is non-line-of-sight (NLOS) path between the MS and base stations (BSs), it is possible to integrate many kinds of measurements to achieve more accurate measurements of the MS location. This paper proposed hybrid methods that utilize time of arrival (TOA) at five B...

Non-Parametric Non-Line-of-Sight Identification

Recently, there has been much interest in accurate determination of mobile user locations in cellular environments. A general approach to this geolocation problem is to gather time-of-arrival measurements from a number of base stations (BSs) and to estimate user locations using the traditional least square approach. However, in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) situations, measurements are significantly...

Reliable Line-of-Sight and Non-Line-of-Sight Propagation Channel Identification in Ultra-Wideband Wireless Networks

The paper addresses the problem of line-of-sight (LOS) vs. non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation link identification in ultrawideband (UWB) wireless networks, which is necessary for improving the accuracy of radiolocation and positioning applications. A LOS/NLOS likelihood hypothesis testing approach is applied based on exploiting distinctive statistical features of the channel impulse response ...
